In the process of facilitating an amicable dispute resolution between University of Embu and County Government of Embu, IGRTC led by Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Saadia Kontoma, Members Mr. John Kimwela, Mrs. Angeline Hongo and Mrs. Linet Mavu undertook a site visit to a disputed land in Embu University.

The site visit which brought together teams from County Government of Embu led by Governor Cecily Mbarire, University of Embu led by Council Chair Dr. Kennedy Okong'o and National Land Commission represented by Mrs. Jacinta Gitau aimed at enabling parties appreciate the material issues in dispute.

Informed by the ultimate goal of providing services to the people of Embu, the parties agreed to cooperate and support mediation process especially in providing necessary documents that will lead to achieving a reasonable solution to the dispute.

Also present were; Embu Senator Hon. Alexander Mundigi, Women Representative Hon. Pamela Njoki, Deputy Governor for Embu Hon. Kinyua Mugo, County Secretary Mrs. Amy Ruria and the Vice Chancellor of University of Embu Prof. Daniel Mugendi.
