The IGRTC and the State Department for Devolution consultative meeting with State Agencies and the Council of Governors on the completion of the transfer of devolved functions.

The meeting attended by principal Secretaries and technical officers enabled stakeholders to review the work done by the twelve sector teams, and emerging issues and provide input to the high-level consultative meetings scheduled for next week. This is in line with the 10th Summit directive to finalize the exercise within 60 days.

IGRTC echoes its invitation to both levels of Government for the upcoming consultations in line with the COK and Intergovernmental Relations Act to finalize the matter. Upon completion, IGRTC is expected to publish Gazette notices, sector reports, and implementation plans to trigger the transfer of the relevant resources.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries led by Teresia Mbaika, IGRTC team led by Chairman Kithinji Kiragu, Members, CEO Dr. Kipkurui Chepkwony, CEO COG Mary Mwiti, technical officers from state agencies and the Council of Governors.
