THE 8TH NATIONAL AND COUNTY COORDINATING SUMMIT
H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta chaired the 8th National and County Coordinating Summit held on Friday 21st February 2020 at State House, Nairobi. The Summit brought together the two levels of Government who deliberated on ways of enhancing service delivery to Kenyans.
During the summit, the two levels of Government discussed the implementation of the Big 4 Agenda aligned programs, disaster preparedness, corruption and pending bills.
The President cited pending bills and corruption as some of the challenges preventing Kenyans from enjoying the maximum benefits of devolution. He termed pending bills as an impediment to traders who are incurring losses. The President who expressed satisfaction with the ongoing rollout of Big 4 Agenda programmes on universal health coverage, affordable housing, manufacturing and food security thanked County Governments for their partnership and lauded IGRTC for the good work they are doing in ensuring cooperation between the two levels of government.
The president who was elated by the success of the summit and good work done by the Intergovernmental Relation Technical Committee, requested the gathering to give IGRTC two-hearty claps for the recommendable job they did towards the success of the summit.
