IGRTC team led by Chairman CPA Kithinji Kiragu held a joint consultative meeting with the County Government of Bomet and the Prisons department to resolve intergovernmental dispute.

The meeting deliberated on the issues raised by both parties over the ownership of a land earmarked for refuse disposal. The members also undertook a site visit to the disputed land to appreciate the material issues raised by the parties.

As mandated by the constitution, the IGRTC Chairman called for an urgent resolution of the dispute to ensure continued service delivery to the people. The parties agreed to cooperate and work together in a bid to foster peaceful coexistence as they expedite the process of alternative dispute resolution.

In attendance were; Bomet County Commissioner Dr Ahmed Omar, Commissioner Reginald Okumu from NLC, and IGRTC Committee members Mrs Linet Mavu, Mrs Angeline Hongo and Mr John Kimwela.
